about

Recorded Live In Seoul!

Exactly 2 years ago, the Swingtet members were all boarding planes from Austin, Chicago, Mexico City, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
It was exciting to have the same line up that had just released “The Road Is Leaving” and played Chicago Jazz Fest together.
We were en route to Seoul to play a week’s worth of gigs organized by Jongsu Baek and Lang Lang Song, with their dance event “Soul @ Seoul” at the center.
It was one of the best tours ever, oweing so much to Jongsu and Lang Lang’s incredible hospitality and great organization.

David Jellema was on duty with his Zoom recorder. However, these recordings weren’t made with an album in mind—they were just moments captured and preserved (the band wasn’t thinking about being recorded—the band played how it played, fueled by good vibes and Korean hot pot).
Recently, David was reminiscing and listening through his archives and he brought up the idea of releasing some of these sets, as they were especially good and especially good times.
I’m so glad he did.

Volume 2 - Sunday Night at Soul @ Seoul
This volume is our complete 1st set of the final night of Soul @ Seoul.
It also includes the finale of set 2 (and the whole event and whole week)—plus a little encore.

All sales will go to support the musicians who played on the recordings.
